anything
What ages and subjects do you cover?
Primary to A‑Level (and selected adult upskilling). Core focus: Maths, English, Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), plus 11+/KS2‑KS5 and study skills.
Do you follow UK exam boards?
Yes—AQA, Edexcel, OCR (and others on request). Lessons map to current specs and past‑paper practice.
How does tutor matching work?
Tell us your goals, year group and preferred times. We shortlist vetted tutors, share profiles, and arrange a first session. If it’s not a fit, we’ll switch promptly.
Do you offer 1:1 and group sessions?
Both. 1:1 is fully personalised. Group is typically 3–6 learners—more affordable while staying interactive.
Online or in‑person?
Primarily online via secure platforms. In‑person may be available in selected areas—ask us.
Can you support SEND learners?
Yes. We adapt planning, resources and pacing; many tutors have experience with diverse learning needs.
What happens in a typical lesson?
Clear objectives → modelling/worked examples → guided practice → independent practice → quick check and next steps.
Do you set homework?
Usually yes—short, targeted tasks to reinforce learning. We adapt to your schedule.
How is progress tracked?
Session notes after each lesson and regular check‑ins. For longer programmes, monthly summaries are available on request.
Do you provide resources and past papers?
Yes—exam‑style questions, revision checklists and model answers where appropriate.
How much does it cost?
Rates vary by subject/level and whether it’s 1:1 or group. Update the placeholders in the table below with your current prices.
How do I pay?
Bank transfer or card checkout (and PO for schools). Invoices show payment details and a reference.
Is VAT included?
Currently not applied. If/when VAT becomes applicable, invoices will clearly show VAT.
When is payment due?
Upon receipt of invoice unless a school/organisation has agreed terms.
How do I book lessons?
Tell us your preferred days/times and we’ll send options. Ongoing slots can be reserved.
What is your cancellation policy?
More than 24 hours’ notice: reschedule at no charge. Less than 24 hours or no‑show: session is chargeable.
Can I change tutor later?
Yes—share what you’d like to change (pace, style, timings) and we’ll rematch quickly.
Are tutors vetted?
Yes—ID and right‑to‑work checks, subject expertise review, references, and DBS status where applicable. We follow a safeguarding code of conduct.
Can sessions be recorded?
Only with consent and for safeguarding/quality purposes. Recordings (if any) are stored securely and retained for a limited period.
Do you guarantee results?
No provider can guarantee grades, but we guarantee professional teaching, clear goals, and regular feedback.
What do we need for online lessons?
A computer/tablet, stable internet, webcam/mic, and a quiet space. We’ll share any software links in advance.
Do you support different time zones?
Yes—we work with families internationally and schedule to your local time.
How do you work with schools?
We provide targeted intervention, catch‑up and stretch programmes aligned to your curriculum. Safeguarding‑compliant onboarding, regular progress reporting, and PO‑based invoicing included.
Can you map to our schemes of work and exam boards?
Yes—AQA, Edexcel, OCR and others. We co‑design objectives, assessment points and reporting cadence with your team.
